well, here i am...

well, here i am.....
my first post. i have other blogs but have never added a post.
the first post must be the hardest, right?
so i put on my pretty pink tiara and here i sit- typing away.
amazing what confidence my pretty pink tiara brings to me--

i have so much to say--so much to share-so much to learn....

the first thing i'm gonna share is this lovely pink cast, with my lovely pink, glittery toes. for those of you who don't know, i fell down our stairs on dec.27th....resulting in an ambulance ride and surgery the following day. i broke my ankle in 3 places and am the proud owner of plates, rods, screws and pain. i can't walk or drive for at least 3 more weeks-which has been very difficult for me. i am in a wheelchair and walker...and am learning so much.
ok
this is getting easier!

Hi Brenda, There is nothing I appreciate more than a woman who can coordinate her nail polish and her medical accoutrements with such panache. Lovely, really lovely. Oh, I mean your blog is lovely, not your toes. LOL

Brenda, I admire your humor in spite of the pain and inconvenience that you are going through! And your toes and cast are real purdy!
I like your blog - I have one but haven't gone "public" with it yet - maybe I will do so soon. Thanks for the inspiration and hope you heal real quickly!
hugs,
jackie

Yay for Brenda. I'm happy you have started a blog. I will add your link to my list so I can check on you often. As soon as the weather gets better, we will have to get together for a play day. Love your title, your pink toenails and your pink cast. I'd say you are a lady in the pink! Go Brenda.

Brenda, I adore your color coordinated cast and nails...I am sure you are going to make the best dressed cast award this year.
the blog is also a great start and the healing doll for your Dad is very interesting...it almost has a personality and I expected it to speak...
Jean...wishing my dull toes were all glittered and pink and pretty.

Hi Brenda!
I am sending healing thoughts up your way.
I hope you have a staff to wait on you hand and foot - and yes, furbabies count if they are properly trained to bring you whatever you wish.

It takes awhile to find your "voice" on a blog, so hang in there. It will show up for Miss Bliss :-)

You are incredible - I'm so glad you've got a blog and POSTED on it! Yea YOU!!

If you had to have a cast, well THAT cast is just so YOU - the pink, girlie deal - wish i lived close enough to sign it.

beautiful words about "time to heal" - I'm holding you and your family in the Light as you miss your Auntie Pat (she sounds wonderful!).

Hang in there with the injury and the blog. I am new to the blog world myself. It takes a while to hit your stride. I find that writing from the heart, about things that touch me, really speaks to others somehow. I wanted to say good job! Congratulations on starting it. I love the coordinating toes and cast. Can't wait to see the tiara, and some of your artwork!

Oh Ouch! I can totally relate - I broke my ankle last March, and after two surgeries, a wheelchair, crutches, and a walking boot, here it is 10 months later and I still walk with a pronounced limp. But at least it's going in the right direction, yes? My first thought when it happened was "at least it's not my sewing foot"! Hang in there - it does get better.
